Home workshop and Garage
The installation was to heat a steel frame single skin building, used as a garage, workshop and store. The building is 18m x 8m x 5.5m high.
The Zero hot air heater allows quick heat up cycles when needed.
Mike the owner says "I use the garage all year round, but in the winter months, it might be only once or twice a week. Using leftover paper, cardboard and kindling to light it, I can have heat being produced in minutes. Even in the coldest weather it soon feels comfortable."
The installation could not have been easier as the appliance simply needs a 230v electrical supply (13 amp plug) and a flue exit.
The unit draws room air in the bottom and heats it around the fire box and then blows out the heated air through the directional tubes on the top. This process raises the temperature of the air exiting by about ten degrees centigrade, so after a few minutes of this process repeating the ambient temperature of the room increases to a comfortable level.
The ventilation fan is automatically activated by the on board controls when heat is produced. At the end of the burning cycle the fan automatically switches off, so it doesn't blow cold air around the space, so all you have to do is keep the fire stoked.
An override switch is included so during warmer weather the unit workshop heater can be used as a cooling ventilation system.
Space heaters the low cost solution for heating industrial units, workshops or factories with wood heating.
